선교지는 전쟁터입니다.  먹느냐… 먹히느냐… 성령의 역사냐…어둠의 영의 역사냐… 둘 중 하나입니다. 사방으로 우겨쌈을 당하였을 때 앞을 향해 뚫고 나아가도 뒤에서 잡아당기는 치열한 영적 전투장입니다. 말씀과 기도로 무장하고 깨어있지 않고는 영적 분별력이나 판단력이 흐려질 수 밖에 없습니다. 고국(후방)의 기도가 절실히 필요합니다…

 

“The mission field is a spiritual battlefield. Are we gaining ground or are we losing ground? Is the Holy Spirit at work or is it the spirit of darkness? It is always one or the other. It is a fierce spiritual battlefield - even when you are hard pressed on every side, and you are trying to plow ahead, it continues to pull you back from behind. Without the Word and arming yourself with prayer to stay spiritually aware, it is inevitable that you will lose spiritual wisdom and judgment. The prayer support of our home country is desperately needed ...”

이성연 정정아 선교사님은 캄보디아 뽀삿에서 신학교 사역과 교회 개척 사역을 하고 계십니다. 뽀삿 근교에 5개가 넘는 교회를 개척하였으며 뽀삿 중심부 헤브론 센터에는 4년과정의 PBS (Pursat Bible School) 신학교를 개설하여 제2회 졸업생을 배출하였습니다.

 

Sung-Yeon Lee and Jung-Ah Jung are missionaries involved with planting churches and running a theological college in Pursat, Cambodia. They have pioneered the planting of more than five churches in the Pursat area and have opened a four-year program PBS (Pursat Bible School) theological college at the Hebron Center in central Pursat, from which the second group of students has now graduated.

 

4년전 뽀삿에의 안정된 사역을 뒤로하고 께오뽀라는 캄보디아의 미개척 지역에 들어가셔서 유치원 사역을 활성화 시켰으며, 께오뽀 지역을 위해서 충성된 복음의 증인으로 살았습니다. 현재는 프놈펜 New Hope Church를 통하여 학사생들을 훈련하고 방과후학교를

통하여 지역을 섬기고 있습니다. 

 

Four years ago, moving on from their stable ministry in Pursat, they entered into the untapped region of Cambodia called Khao Po and revitalized the kindergarten ministry there, and lived as a faithful witnesses of the gospel in the Khao Po area. Currently, they are training students through the New Hope Church in Phnom Penh and serving the local community through after-school programs.

마을의 모습과 아파하는 집집마다의 아픈 이야기는 저희의 아픔을 말하기 조차  부끄러울 정도로 힘겹습니다. 그런데, 그곳에서 살아가는  사람들이 오히려 요한이를 먼저 보낸 아픔을  입고 다시 이 땅에 서 있는 저희를  위로합니다. 저희가 돌아오기를 오랫동안 기도했다고 하면서 두 손을 꼭 잡는 할머니의 눈물과 간절한 사랑이 저희를 이곳에서 다시 일어서게 합니다.  사실은 웃고 있지만 많이 힘들고 아프고 어렵습니다. 하지만 이곳에서 저희를 다시 사용해 주시는 주님께 감사합니다.

 

“The desperate circumstances of the towns and its people's distressing stories are hard to fathom. They make our struggles seem so insignificant. These people were there for us and comforted us when we lost our son, Yohan. I remember one of the elders tearfully telling me that she waited for our return to Cambodia with earnest prayers. Their words encouraged us to remain in Cambodia and be grateful that God is continuing his work through us despite our great loss and grief that still lingers behind our smiles.  I thank the Lord for bringing us back and using us again.”

임만호 김용순 선교사님은 교회개척 사역과 학교 사역 (희망학교)을 하고 계십니다.

프놈펜에서 가장 큰 빈민촌에 위치한 희망학교는 현재 유치원부터 고등학교까지 약 300여명이 넘는 빈민촌 아이들을 무료로 교육하고 있습니다. 2016년 9월 7일 제1회 졸업생 17명을 배출했습니다. 임만호 김용순 선교사님은 첫째아들 요한이를 교통사고로 하나님께 보낸 후에도 캄보디아에 계속 남아서 충성된 복음의 증인으로 살고 계십니다.

 

Missionary Man-Ho Lim and Yong-Soon Kim are missionaries whose ministries include church planting and the “Hope School” school ministry.
